Today starts a new chapter in my life. That being a
grandfather. I was blessed last night on the safe
arrival of my first grandaughter, from her mother Megan.

Born: Nov.4,2008 9:48pm
Name: Blaire Danielle Ava Woodworth.
Weight: 7 lbs. 10 oz.
Length: 20 inches.
Appearance: beautiful.

Megan was so good during her labor and delivery
according to her mother Lori, and her older sister
Amanda, who were there as coaches. Kudos to them
for doing an excellent job. Megan said she couldn’t
have done it without them.

It’s been a very mind numbing past few days, knowing
Megan will be having the baby on the scheduled induced
date, which was yesterday. I worked yesterday, and I
popped in and out of the delivery room to see how she
was doing. It’s tough to see your child in pain. But
it’s a good pain. And when I got the call from Lori
that Megan had her baby, well, the emotions were released.
I know what it’s like to witness a baby being born. It’s
the most beautiful thing a person can see in their life.
I’m so glad her mother and sister witnessed that magical moment.
A new life beginning.

This morning Madison stayed home, her justified decision to
see her new neice. We went up to the hospital to see Megan
and Blaire. Emotions are high. Tears flowed. You are so
relieved to see Megan healthy, with her beautiful healthy
little daughter. I am so happy for everyone. Words cannot describe.

And to my dear Auntie Marie, who is no longer with us, “Auntie,
another Woodworth has been added to our generation. We love you”.
